Ancient Hub Medieval Mitten Kinght Gauntlets - 16 Gauge Silver
Mitten style gauntlets were popular on the 15th and 16th century battlefield and tournament arena alike. They offered maximum protection for the hands at the cost of some finger dexterity. They were mainly worn by knights and men-at-arms fighting on foot. Our Mitten Gauntlets are part of an Arming Jacket/ Jack Chains/Sallet/Gauntlets/Glaive set reproduced from museum originals. They are crafted in 16 gauge steel, making them great for re-enactment, and provided with hand straps, and are intended to be worn over gloved or mittened hands.
